Even if you’re not a commercial real estate executive or junkie, if you live in Greater Washington, you’re almost certainly familiar with Gary Rappaport, or at least Rappaport Management Co. — his eponymous retail brokerage, advisory and management firm, whose “space available” signs can be found on thousands of storefronts across the region.
You might not be so familiar with Henry Fonvielle, Rappaport’s president and Gary Rappaport’s longtime right hand. But you should be, because without him, the McLean-based firm would not be the goliath it is today, with roughly 16 million square feet of assets under management.
