Dany Abi-Najm, part of the family behind Middle Eastern restaurant chain Lebanese Taverna, plans a new French-Mediterranean restaurant from space near Farragut Square vacated earlier this year by Kellari Taverna.

Abi-Najm is partnering on the venture, called Barbouzard, with Nasr El Hage, who comes to the partnership with a background in commercial real estate, and Nellie Elana Gebrail, from the private equity world. It’s slated to open this spring at 1700 K St. NW.
