Jim provides landlord representation services for shopping centers and mixed-use projects owned by affiliates of Rappaport and by many local and institutional clients. He has over 28 years of retail real estate experience within the Washington, D.C. region and is particularly skilled in conceptualizing and leasing new retail development from inception to completion, as well as existing properties in need of re-merchandising and big box leasing strategies.
Some of his notable clients include Principal Financial Life Insurance, Insight Property Group, A&R Companies, Quadrangle, Prudential Real Estate, Monument Realty and Northwestern Mutual, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Bottega Louie. He is involved in several high-profile D.C. development projects, including Capitol Gateway Marketplace, Skyland Town Center and the $175 million Whole Foods-anchored Apollo on H Street, NE.
