Our team has been hard at work constructing a brand-new location for organization solutions giant Container Store.  Rappaport’s development team oversaw the turnkey delivery of the space, including interior buildout, roof replacement, HVAC installation, masonry work, facade construction, plumbing, and more for the 15,282 SF store before their grand opening on June 15, 2024.  The store joins the 260,879 SF community shopping center Springfield Plaza alongside the newly opened Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, CVS Pharmacy, and Big Blue Swim.

For over four decades, Rappaport has been a trusted source for retail leasing, management, and development services. Our extensive experience encompasses planning, designing, and constructing new buildings and expansions within existing retail centers. As part of our mission to “Cultivate Places,” we collaborate closely with local government authorities and communities to develop properties that enhance neighborhoods- and Springfield Plaza is no exception.

Springfield Plaza is more than just a shopping center; it’s a community hub that’s evolving to meet the evergrowing needs of Springfield residents. With the grand opening of the Container Store and other exciting developments, the center is poised to become an even more integral part of the community.

One of the most exciting developments is the new Springfield CBC Commuter Parking Garage. This six-level garage will offer 1,000 parking spaces and feature two commuter slug line loading zones, a carpool waiting area, a short-term parking area, a bus transit center with seven bus bays, and bicycle storage. The garage also includes event spaces on the ground and top levels, providing new venues for community gatherings, farmers markets, and other activities that unite people.

What’s more, a brand new pedestrian bridge over Old Keene Mill Road means Springfield Plaza is now more connected than ever.

Springfield isn’t just growing; it’s flourishing. To support this growth, Rappaport’s leasing team has signed high-quality tenants like Whole Foods and the Container Store to ensure that Springfield Plaza remains a top shopping destination.  Our development and construction team’s significant infrastructure and facade improvements position Springfield Plaza as a central hub for the community.

If you haven’t visited Springfield Plaza lately, now is the perfect time to rediscover it. Whether you’re looking for innovative storage solutions, fresh groceries, or a fun place to spend the day, Springfield Plaza has something for everyone.

Don’t miss out on the grand opening of the Container Store on Saturday, June 15. The first 100 people will get a $20 gift card and a chance to win a free space makeover! Come see for yourself how Springfield Plaza is transforming and be part of this exciting new chapter in our community’s story.
